Kenyan Marathon Champion , Eliud Kipchoge, was crowned the best male athlete in Tokyo Olympics. Eliud received the award at the 7th Edition of the  Association of National Olympic Committees ceremony in Crete-Greece. The ceremony was held on 24th October 2021.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has congratulated Eliud Kipchoge for this amazing award.

“The prestigious ANOC Award is a global recognition of Kenya’s prominence as a sporting nation, and advised upcoming athletes to emulate Eliud’s determination, humility, hard work and patriotism as they build their careers,” said State House Kenya in a tweet.
